Born in Boston, Lincolnshire, I was taught the piano from the age of 10 and became a chorister at St Botolph's Parish Church, Boston, otherwise known as Boston Stump. Whilst a chorister, I was taught the organ by David Wright at the organ of St Botoloph's.

I studied Musical Instrument Technology at the London College of Furniture then piano and organ at the London College of Music. My organ studies were under Margaret Phillips and the late Gordon Phillips. Further organ studies were undertaken by me at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Graham Elliott, formerly Organist and Master of the Music at Chelmsford Cathedral.

I held the post of Organist at Regent Square United Reformed Church, Tavistock Place, London for 5 years and have held my current post of Organist at St Martin's Church, Morden, Surrey for over 30 years.

I have played at many churches in and around London and have given organ recitals at the annual Daphne du Maurier Festival of Arts and Literature in Cornwall, St. Botolph's Church, Boston, and St. Mary's Church, Brighton. I give regular concerts at St Martin's.

I am a freelance church organist, available for wedding, funeral, crematorium and thanksgiving services Monday to Saturday.
